About

Welcome to Esther Hertog’s website – The Flying AcroYogi

.

People often call me the Flying AcroYogi – because I literally fly around the world to explore, play, connect, massage and teach AcroYoga. I just love practicing and teaching AcroYoga and everything that it includes; Acrobatics, Yoga and Thai Massage.

In the Netherlands (and abroad) you can join me at classes, workshops and treatments or see me flying during various performances. See the agenda page for a constantly updated schedule.

It is also possible to book the Flying AcroYogi for your own specified workshop: For Thai Massage treatment, a company staff work out, marriage surprise or an Acrobatics performance, contact me.

Looking forward to flying with you,

Esther Hertog,

I was born in 1978, in Amsterdam, together with my twin sister Chaja. From a young age we fell in love with the magical world of the circus, and for days on end we used to play, performing for our family and friends. One day, at the tender age of five, we slipped out of the house, my sister as circus director, complete with top-hat and a painted mustache, and myself as a colorful clown, to perform in front of a surprised audience at the local market. Our worried mom will never forget that performance! Today I still love the circus but I now try to explore its’ magic from within; how does it feel to be upside down? How do you breathe when you hold your acrobatics partner in midair? And how can you keep smiling through a complicated partner sequence?! In 2002 I began practicing partner acrobatics (acro-balance). Simultaneously I began taking yoga classes and in 2006 I was introduced to AcroYoga. It was love at first sight! In 2009 I participated in the Thai Flying Circus (Acroyoga and Thai Massage course). Six months later I completed a 200 hr Vinyasa Yoga teacher training, and in September 2010 I became a certified AcroYoga teacher. For me, teaching is a gift. Having experienced the beneficial effects Yoga, AcroYoga, acrobatics and Thai Massage have had on my own life and body, I am devoted to sharing these practices with everyone open to learn!
