Family AcroYoga Teacher Training | 29 May-3 June | BRUSSELS

Dear AcroYogi/Yogi and life enthusiast,
Last June 18th when I watched the 1st family AcroYoga workshop I suddenly had tears in my eyes. I saw our Family AcroYoga teacher training students giving wonderful workshops to large groups of parents & children. The teaching seemed so sweet, well balanced – creative and fun! I was so moved because for me this was the result of years of developing, collaborating, working hard and never giving up. Now there are 20 teachers around the world teaching Family AcroYoga.
At the end of May 2018, Tatjana, Mireia and I will offer our second Family AcroYoga teacher training. We would love to invite you to join our amazing growing Family AcroYoga teacher team.
We look forward to flying with you!

The extensive 6-day Family AcroYoga teacher-training program combines pedagogical knowledge with practical training methods. The training develops the art of teaching Family AcroYoga in a safe and caring environment. We will work on detail design workshops to enhance practical Family AcroYoga know-how, build body & mind awareness & cultivate positive thinking, trust & community minded thinking.
We will study and put into practice pedagogical skills such as how to ‘manage’ large groups of adults & children, how to establish positive ways of communication, how to practice elaborate physical exercises with the age groups, and how to make workshops and classes meaningful, beneficial and fun for children and parents.

Who is the training designed for?

In our ideal world applicants should be advanced AcroYoga practitioners: As experienced AcroYoga teachers ourselves, we found that teaching Family AcroYoga is many levels more difficult than giving regular adult AcroYoga lessons:
A Family AcroYoga teacher must be capable of simultaneously working with both children and adults, Knowledgeable enough to spontaneously switch lesson content, constantly Attentive of growing children’s physical & mental needs, and Experienced enough to feel which AcroYoga technique is optimal for individual participants at any given moment.

Join the Community!

We are three teachers with three different styles and this diversity has been very valuable to us, realizing the more ways and styles we learn the richer our vocabulary will be. Our aim is not to create a style to be fixed and copied but to collect as many different perspectives as possible. The more colours we have in our palette, the more we will be able to understand the unique colour that every parent and child bring along with them. This training represents a starting point, a dialog with all educators and AcroYoga practitioners.

In 2017 the community grew with 17 new teachers. Our aim is too unite all those teachers that are already working in Family AcroYoga and all of those who want get started with it and work together, explore, grow and learn from each other and from the famílies.
